Jesus and His disciples were on their way out of the city of Jericho. A blind man called Bartimaeus was sitting by the side of the road. – Slide 1

As Bartimaeus could not see, he could not work. So he sat each day begging for money. – Slide 2

When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was walking down the road he believed that Jesus had God’s power to help him. – Slide 3

He started shouting as loudly as he could, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ – Slide 4

Lots of people told him to be quiet. But Bartimaeus shouted even louder, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ – Slide 5

Jesus heard Bartimaeus cry for help and stopped. ‘Call him,’ He said. – Slide 6

So they called to Bartimaeus, ‘Cheer up! On your feet! Jesus is calling you.’ Bartimaeus jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. – Slide 7

‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Jesus asked him.Batimaeus replied, ‘Teacher, I want to see.’ – Slide 8

‘Go,’ said Jesus, ‘your faith has healed you.’ – Slide 9

He looked around in amazement and gave thanks to God. – Slide 11
