Abraham had obeyed God and move to live in the land of Canaan. The Lord said to Abraham, ‘I brought you here from Ur in Chaldea and gave you this land.’ – Slide 1

Abraham asked, ‘Lord, how can I know the land will be mine?’ – Slide 2

Then the Lord told him. ‘Bring me a three-year-old heifer … – Slide 3

‘… a three-year-old goat … – Slide 4

… then he cut the animals in half … – Slide 9

… and laid the two halves of each animal opposite each other on the ground, but he did not cut the dove or pigeon in half. – Slide 10

When birds came down to eat the animals, Abraham chased then away. – Slide 11
