Jesus was teaching a large crowd of many thousands. Someone in the crowd said to Him, ‘Teacher, tell my brother to divide our inheritance with me.’ – Slide 1

Jesus replied, ‘Who, appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you? Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot. – Slide 2

Jesus then told this parable. ‘The farm of a certain rich man produced a terrific crop. – Slide 3

‘He thought to himself, “What shall I do? I have nowhere to store my crops.” – Slide 4

‘Then he said, “This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones to store my surplus grain. – Slide 5

‘“And I’ll say to myself, ‘You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. – Slide 6

“Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” – Slide 7

‘“This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?” – Slide 9
