When He had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressed in spirit, and testified,  ‘I tell you the solemn truth, one of you will betray Me.’ – Slide 1

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed to know which of them He was talking about. – Slide 2

One of His disciples, the one Jesus loved, was at the table to the right of Jesus in a place of honour. So Simon Peter gestured to this disciple to ask Jesus who it was He was referring to. – Slide 3

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved leaned back against Jesus’ chest and asked Him, ‘Lord, who is it?’<br/>Jesus replied, ‘It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread after I have dipped it in the dish.’ – Slide 4

Then Jesus dipped the piece of bread in the dish and gave it to Judas Iscariot. – Slide 5

And after Judas took the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, ‘What you are about to do, do quickly.’ – Slide 6

(Now none of those present at the table understood why Jesus said this to Judas. Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him to buy whatever they needed for the feast,or to give something to the poor.) – Slide 7

Judas took the piece of bread and went out immediately. (Now it was night.) – Slide 8

Then Jesus said to them, ‘This night you will all fall away because of me, for it is written: “I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.” But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.’ – Slide 9

Peter said to Him, ‘If they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away!’ Jesus said to him, ‘I tell you the truth … – Slide 10

‘… on this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.’ – Slide 11

Peter said to Him, ‘Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.’ And all the disciples said the same thing. – Slide 12

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after giving thanks He broke it … – Slide 13

… gave it to them, and said, ‘Take it. This is my body.’ – Slide 14

And after taking the cup and giving thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. – Slide 15

Jesus said to them, ‘This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, that is poured out for many. – Slide 16

‘I tell you the truth, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.’ – Slide 17
