Contributed by MYELLOVE
God saw that the people on earth were violent and evil. But one man, called Noah, obeyed God.
So God told Noah, ‘I am going to punish these evil people with a great flood. I want you to build a very large boat that will protect you and your family along with two of every kind of animal, bird and creeping thing.’ – Slide 1
Noah and his three sons obeyed God and built a large boat called the Ark. It took a very long time to build. When it was finished, God sent a female and a male of each type of animal, bird and creeping creature into the Ark. – Slide 2
Once the animals and Noah and his family were aboard the Ark, God closed the door. – Slide 3
There was then an almighty storm that lasted over 40 days. The earth flooded and the Ark began to rise. The flood waters covered the highest mountains but all on the Ark were kept safe. – Slide 4
The waters covered the earth for a very long time but slowly went down. The ark came to rest on a mountain. The tops of the mountains could now be seen. Noah sent out a raven but the ground was not yet dry. – Slide 5
Noah then sent out a dove but it could not find dry ground. A week later the dove was sent out again and it returned with a fresh olive leaf in its beak. Noah knew the ground was almost dry. Seven days later the dove was sent out once more and it did not return. It had found dry land. – Slide 6
God then told Noah to bring out the animals from the Ark and let them roam free.
Noah and his family gave an offering to God. God placed a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise that He would never flood the whole earth again.
Noah and his family along with all the animals were able to populate the world again. – Slide 7
