A parable about a lost sheep that is found.

Now the tax collectors and people that were labelled sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. – Slide 1

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, ‘This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.’ – Slide 2

So Jesus told them this parable. ‘Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and then you find that one of them is missing. – Slide 3

‘Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in safety and go searching for the lost sheep? – Slide 4

And doesn’t he keep searching until he finds the missing sheep? – Slide 5

‘And when he finds the lost sheep, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, “Let’s celebrate -  I have found my lost sheep.”’ – Slide 6

Jesus then went on to say, ‘In the same way there will be more celebration in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.’ – Slide 7
