A blind man trusts Jesus

Jesus heals a blind man but the Pharisees object.

One day Jesus and His disciples saw a blind man. ‘Is this man blind because he or his parents were bad?’ asked one of the disciples. <br/>‘Neither,’ Jesus answered. ‘But to show the power of God.’ – Slide 1

Jesus then spat on the ground and mixed some clay together before putting it on the blind man’s eyes. ‘Go and wash in the pool of Siloam,’ Jesus told the man. – Slide 2

The man obeyed Jesus and made his way to the pool. – Slide 3

He washed in the pool and he was healed of his blindness. He could see again! – Slide 4

Some who knew the man were amazed that he could see. Some did not believe it. But the man said, ‘Yes I am the man who was blind!’ <br/>‘Who healed you?’ they asked. The man did not know the name of Jesus. – Slide 5

Some of the people took him to the Pharisees. They asked him the same questions and he gave the same answers about how he was healed. The Pharisees didn’t believe him. They said it was a sinner that healed him. – Slide 6

The man said he thought that Jesus was a prophet. The Pharisees didn’t believe that either. They sent for the man’s parents. – Slide 7

His parents said that he was born blind but did not know how he could now see. ‘Ask him, he is old enough,’ they said. They were afraid of upsetting the Pharisees in case they threw them out of the synagogue. – Slide 8

When the Pharisees kept asking the man questions he asked, ‘Do you want to be His disciples too?’ This made them so angry they had him thrown out of the building. – Slide 9

When Jesus heard what happened to the man, He found him and said, ‘Do you believe in the Son of God?’<br/>‘Who is he Lord?’ the man replied. ‘I want to believe in Him.’ – Slide 10

‘You are looking at Him and talking to Him,’ replied Jesus. <br/> The man said, ‘Lord I believe!’ and worshipped Jesus. – Slide 11
