Jesus travels to the Decapolis region and heals a deaf man with a speech impediment.

Jesus travelled in Syrian Phoenicia from Tyre to Sidon, then south to the Decapolis – a region of ten cities serving as a city state, with a lot of Roman and Greek influence. – Slide 1

Everyone begged Jesus to lay His hands on the man and heal Him. – Slide 3

… and touched the man’s tongue with the spittle. – Slide 7

Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed and commanded, ‘Open!’ – Slide 8

Instantly the man could hear perfectly and speak plainly! – Slide 9

Jesus told the crowd not to spread the news, but the more He forbade them, the more they made it known, for they were overcome with utter amazement. They kept saying, ‘Everything He does is wonderful. He even corrects deafness and stammering!’ – Slide 10
