Joseph shares his dreams and his brothers become jealous.

Jacob had twelve sons but he loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age. Joseph was 17 years old and taking care of his father’s flocks with his brothers. – Slide 1

Jacob gave Joseph the gift of a special ornate robe. – Slide 2

Joseph also gave a bad report about his brothers to his father. – Slide 3

When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated Joseph and were not able to speak to him kindly. – Slide 4

Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it they hated him even more. – Slide 5

He said to them, ‘Listen to this dream I had... we were, binding sheaves of grain in the middle of the field.’ – Slide 6

‘Suddenly my sheaf rose up and stood upright and your sheaves surrounded my sheaf and bowed down to it!’ – Slide 7

Then his brothers asked him, ‘Do you really think you will rule over us or have dominion over us?’ They hated him even more because of his dream and because of what he said. – Slide 8

Then Joseph had another dream and told it to his brothers. ‘Look,’ he said. ‘I had another dream.’ – Slide 9

‘The sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.’ – Slide 10

His brothers became even more jealous of Joseph. – Slide 11

Jacob rebuked Joseph and said, ‘What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you? <br/>But Jacob remembered and thought about what Joseph had said. – Slide 12
