The day after Jesus healed the servant of a Roman Centurion in Capernaum, He travelled to the town of Nain. – Slide 1

The followers of Jesus and a large crowd were with Him. – Slide 3
As they approached the town gate they were met by a funeral procession. – Slide 4
A young man had died and was to be buried outside the town. – Slide 5
His mother was a widow who had lost her only son. – Slide 6
Jesus felt very sorry for the grieving mother. He went up to her and said, ‘Don’t cry.’ – Slide 7
Then Jesus went over to the coffin and touched it. – Slide 8
The men who were carrying the coffin stopped. – Slide 9
Jesus said to the dead body, ‘Young man, I tell you, get up!’ – Slide 10
To everyone’s amazement the dead man came back to life. He started to sit up. – Slide 11
Then he began to talk. Jesus gave him back to his mother. – Slide 12
Everyone was amazed and began praising God. They said, ‘A great prophet has come to us! God is taking care of His people.’ News of this great miracle spread throughout the area and south to Judea and Jerusalem. – Slide 13
