Mary travelled from Nazareth to visit her relative Elizabeth. – Slide 1

Elizabeth and her husband Zachariah lived in the hill country of Judea near to Jerusalem. – Slide 2

At the sound of Mary’s voice the baby in Elizabeth’s womb suddenly leaped. – Slide 5

Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and in a loud voice exclaimed to Mary, ‘Blessed are you among women and blessed is the child you bear.. Why am I so favoured that the mother of my Lord should visit me? Happy is she who believes the Lord will keep His promises to her.’ – Slide 6

Mary then burst out into song, praising God her Saviour. ‘My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.’ – Slide 7
