1: Who is Jesus? <br/>God Created the Heavens and the Earth!<br/>Genesis 1:1<br/>In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. <br/>John 1:1-3 <br/>In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. – Slide 1

2: God and Jesus Create Man and Woman! <br/>Genesis 1:26-27  <br/>Then God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.’ So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.’ – Slide 2

3: Man Sins! God Promises to Redeem Mankind and to Crush Satan.  <br/>Genesis 3:14-15  <br/>Then the Lord God said to the serpent, ‘Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all animals, domestic and wild. You will crawl on your belly, grovelling in the dust as long as you live. And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. 4: Passover: 1st Picture of the Blood of Jesus in the Old Testament.  <br/>Exodus 12:12-13  <br/>‘On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the Lord! But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt. <br/>Matthew 26:28  <br/>For this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and His people. 5: Bronze Serpent on a Pole 2nd Picture of Jesus in the Old Testament Look, Believe and Live! <br/>Numbers 21:8  <br/>Then the Lord told him, ‘Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!’ So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!   <br/>John 3:14  <br/>And as  Moses  lifted up  the  bronze  snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be  lifted up. – Slide 5

6: God & Jesus Created & Control the Heavens. Jesus Calms the Sea. <br/>Psalm 89:8-9  <br/>O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies! Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O Lord? You are entirely faithful. You rule the oceans. You subdue their storm-tossed waves. <br/>Isaiah 42:5 <br/>God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. <br/>Mark 4:39-41 <br/>When Jesus woke up, He rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Peace! 7: King David’s Prophecy About the Suffering Messiah. <br/>Psalm 22:16-18 <br/>They have pierced my hands and feet. I can count all my bones. My enemies stare at me and gloat. They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing.  <br/>Luke 23:32-33 <br/>Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with Him. They nailed Jesus to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on His right and one on His left. – Slide 7

8: God Promises a Redeemer (Jesus) Who Will Bless All Mankind.  <br/>Isaiah 42:6 <br/>‘I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide the nations.’ – Slide 8

9: Isaiah’s Prophecy About the Suffering Messiah, Jesus. <br/>Isaiah 53:5-6 <br/>But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all.  <br/>John 19:30 <br/>When Jesus had tasted it, He said, ‘It is finished!’ Then He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. – Slide 9

10: Jesus the Messiah and Redeemer is Born. <br/>Luke 2:9-11 <br/>Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. ‘Don’t be afraid!’ he said. ‘I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Saviour—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! – Slide 10

11: Jesus the Creator of the Universe is Baptised. <br/>John 1:1-2 <br/>In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. <br/>John 1:29-33-34 <br/>The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! I didn’t know He was the One, but when God sent me to baptise with water, He told me, “The One on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the One who will baptise with the Holy Spirit.” I saw this happen to Jesus, so I testify that He is the Chosen One of God.’ – Slide 11

12: Jesus Announces His Ministry as the Messiah in the Synagogue. <br/>Luke 4:17-20 <br/>The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favour has come.’ Isaiah 61:1-2 <br/>He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at Him intently. Then He began to speak to them. ‘The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!’ – Slide 12

13: Jesus’s 1st Miracle as He Changes Water into Wine 27 A.D.  <br/>John 2:7-11 <br/>Jesus told the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water.’ When the jars had been filled, He said, ‘Now dip some out, and take it to the master of ceremonies.’ So the servants followed His instructions. ‘A host always serves the best wine first,’ he said. ‘Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!’ This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed His glory. And His disciples believed in Him. – Slide 13

14: Jesus Tells Nicodemus of God’s Plan of Redemption. You Must be Born Again. Look, Believe and Live! <br/>John 3:14-16 <br/>And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. – Slide 14

15: What Did Jesus Do? <br/>Jesus Heals the Nobleman Official’s Son. <br/>John 4:46,49,50  <br/>As He travelled through Galilee, He came to Cana, where He had turned the water into wine. There was a government official in nearby Capernaum whose son was very sick. The official pleaded, ‘Lord, please come now before my little boy dies.’ Then Jesus told him, ‘Go back home. Your son will live!’ And the man believed what Jesus said and started home. While the man was on his way, some of his servants met him with the news that his son was alive and well. – Slide 15

16: Jesus Casts Out an Unclean Spirit in the Synagogue on the Sabbath. <br/>Mark 1:23-26 <br/>Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, ‘Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!’ But Jesus reprimanded him. ‘Be quiet! Come out of the man,’ He ordered. At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him. – Slide 16

17: Jesus Teaches the Samaritan Woman at the Well. <br/>John 4:10,13-15 <br/>Jesus replied, ‘If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.’ Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.’  <br/>‘Please, sir,’ the woman said, ‘give me this water! Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.’ – Slide 17

18: Jesus Heals a Jewish Leper  <br/>Mark 1:40-42 <br/>A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. ‘If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,’ he said. Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. ‘I am willing,’ He said. ‘Be healed!’ Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed. – Slide 18

19: Jesus Heals the Roman Centurion’s Servant. <br/>Matthew 8:5-7,13 <br/>When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with Him, ‘Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralysed and in terrible pain.’ Jesus said, ‘I will come and heal him.’ But the officer said, ‘Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, ‘Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.’ And the young servant was healed that same hour. – Slide 19

20: Jesus Raises the Widow’s Son from the Dead.  <br/>Luke 7:12-15  <br/>A funeral procession was coming out as He approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her. When the Lord saw her, His heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” He said. Then He walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. ‘Young man,’ He said, ‘I tell you, get up.’ Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk! And Jesus gave him back to his mother. – Slide 20

21: Jesus Calms the Storm. <br/>Mark 4:37-39 <br/>But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with His head on a cushion. The disciples woke Him up, shouting, ‘Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?’ When Jesus woke up, He rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Peace! Be still!’ Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. – Slide 21

22: Jesus Casts Out a Legion of Demons from a Man in the Gadarenes.  <br/>Mark 5:9-13 <br/>Then Jesus demanded, ‘What is your name?’ And he replied, ‘My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man.’ Then the evil spirits begged Him again and again not to send them to some distant place. There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby. ‘Send us into those pigs,’ the spirits begged. ‘Let us enter them.’ So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of about 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water. – Slide 22

23: Jesus Heals a Man with an Infirmity for 38 Years at Pool of Bethesda. <br/>John 5:2-9  <br/>Inside the city, near the Sheep Gate, was the pool of Bethesda, with five covered porches. Crowds of sick people—blind, lame, or paralyzed—lay on the porches. One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, He asked him, ‘Would you like to get well?’ ‘I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, ‘for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.’ Jesus told him, ‘Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!’  Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! – Slide 23

24: Jesus Chooses His 12 Disciples and Gives them Power over demons and to Heal the Sick.  <br/>Luke 6:12-14 <br/>One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and He prayed to God all night. At daybreak He called together all of His disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles. Here are their names: Simon (whom He named Peter), Andrew (Peter’s brother), James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (who was called the zealot), Judas (son of James), Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him). <br/>Luke 9:1-2 <br/>One day Jesus called together His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Then He sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. – Slide 24
